THE W.E.E. WORKSHOP SCOOP

Life Drawing For Life

Creative Empowerment

With Dr Louisa Baillie and Nicole Bezemer

Reconnect to that childhood artistic self and build creative confidence.

A chance for you to step outside your comfort zone, pick up some charcoal, and have a go life drawing in a completely safe and uncompetitive environment. Louisa invites you to be vulnerable, have fun and spark an artistic part of you that is often neglected, maybe even forgotten in your busy days of tasks and responsibilities.

Louisa will guide you through 90 minutes of drawing a fabulous female muse, Nicole. You will quickly move beyond shyness with an intro that you will love and you will be refreshed with how you look and see things, and how you can respond with drawing.

This class will suit ALL levels of experience with novices often getting the biggest surprise with what they can do!

This workshop can enable creative thinking for your future.

NB The numbers on this workshop are strictly limited to 16 and it will be first in first served.

Dr Louisa Baillie

others to draw is a passion project of hers. She has facilitated many to become curious and creative through lecturing and workshop facilitation in sculpture, drawing, design and anatomy at Otago Polytechnic School of Art, Otago Medical School and in the community, including the Otago Art Society and workshops for children.

She has been a co-driver of several creative projects including Arthouse, a Co-op that existed in the 1990s to provide workshop, teaching and gallery space for artists, and artistic project manager/co-director of two Dunedin inner city bars (Inchbar, Carousel). She has also exhibited her work in solo and group shows.

Another of Louisa’s passions is her four children (17 to 24 years). She deeply understands that juggle of many roles, especially that of parenting, working and volunteering while desperately wanting more moments to creatively re-charge.

Louisa is an artist with a doctorate in Anatomy. Her artistic and anatomical knowledge of the human form gives her extra pleasure in teaching life drawing to others, as it’s an opportunity to inspire others to be creative as well as understand more about bones and muscles and how the body works!
